Is it true that flower beds near building entrances will now be fined?
Minister of Housing and Communal Services Hennadi Trubila debunked rumors that creating flower beds near multi-apartment buildings is allegedly prohibited in Belarus. According to him, such information does not correspond to reality.

On the contrary, as the minister asserts, the authorities support people who independently decorate courtyard areas. It is noted that already about 7-8 thousand courtyards have been improved precisely through the efforts of residents.
No fines are provided for creating flower beds, as this is considered a positive initiative that makes the courtyard cozier and more beautiful.
At the same time, there are certain rules that must be followed. To officially create a flower bed, it is recommended to contact the local housing and communal services and coordinate your plans, preferably even with an approximate planting scheme. This is necessary for safety, as engineering communications may run underground, and specialists must check this before starting work.
It is also worth remembering that the plants must be cared for by the residents who planted them. In addition, it is forbidden to use homemade decorations in flower beds, for example, from car tires or plastic bottles, as well as to plant invasive plants and vegetables.
