"He even hung 'Pahonia' in Zhodzina prison." Eduard Palchys asks to support Kiryl Kazey
"I understand that you might be tired of various fundraisers for the needs of different Belarusians. But I cannot remain silent," writes former political prisoner Eduard Palchys on Facebook, asking to support another former political prisoner, Kiryl Kazey, in trouble.

"Kiryl Kazey is one of the best and most principled people I personally crossed paths with during my imprisonment. I only spent 3 weeks with him, but I will remember it for life.
I remember how in Zhodzina prison, defying the administration, he would hang an image of 'Pahonia' sometimes in the cell, sometimes in the exercise yard. And it so happened that we were released together on March 19 [2026].
In Belarus, Kiryl was a businessman with all the attributes – an apartment, an expensive car, a profitable business. But now he has been completely 'zeroed out' and has to start everything from scratch, because without a passport it is still difficult to conduct business (as it is for most of those released).
Kiryl is a courageous and strong person, for whom everything should work out sooner or later. Therefore, I ask you to support him at the most difficult stage of his free life," writes Eduard Palchys.
And then adds:
"If someone needs a person who understands sales and knows how to work in a team, contact Kiryl with proposals. I would even go to war with people like him."
