Khvicha Kvaratskhelia refused to answer in Russian after the Champions League final

Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of "PSG" refused to speak Russian with a journalist in the mixed zone after the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final, in which the French club defeated London's "Arsenal" in a penalty shootout, writes Championat.com.
A video appeared online showing that during a press approach, Kvaratskhelia was addressed in Russian, but he refused to continue the conversation.
— Khvicha, can we speak in Russian: what emotions did you have? After all…
— No, I can't speak, sorry, — Kvaratskhelia replied in English and continued to answer questions from Georgian journalists in his native language.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was recognized as the best player of the Champions League for the 2025/2026 season. In the previous tournament, he played 16 matches for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. This is the second consecutive Champions League trophy in the Georgian footballer's career.
Previously, the footballer played for Moscow's "Lokomotiv" and Kazan's "Rubin" from 2019 to 2022, but after the invasion of Ukraine, he left Russia and returned to Georgia, playing half a year for Batumi's "Dinamo".
In the summer of 2022, he moved to Italian "Napoli", with whom he won the Italian championship and was recognized as the best player of Serie A in the 2022/2023 season, in January 2024 he moved to PSG, with whom he won two French championships and two Champions Leagues.
