Oil depot caught fire in Rostov region after UAV attack, oil refinery in Saratov region

In Russia's Rostov and Saratov regions, fuel infrastructure facilities came under attack during another aerial assault on the night of May 31.

According to Rostov region Governor Yuri Slyusar, a fuel storage facility supplying agricultural producers caught fire in the Matveev-Kurgan district as a result of drone debris falling.

Local residents of neighboring private homes were evacuated for safety, and a fire train was brought in to extinguish the blaze.

No information about casualties has been received at this moment.

In addition, in the Matveev Kurgan settlement itself, a pharmacy, two shops, and a car were damaged, as well as the roof, glazing, and a gas pipe, which led to the gas being shut off. Local communities on social media, citing eyewitnesses, claim that an oil rain fell in the settlement after the strike on the fuel tank.

At the same time, the head of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, also reported on the consequences of the night attack. He announced damage to civilian infrastructure facilities but did not specify which enterprises were involved.

Meanwhile, OSINT monitoring channels and information resources disseminated photo and video materials from local residents, indicating that the main strike hit the Saratov Oil Refinery, where a fire started after explosions.

This oil refinery is not the first time it has been a target for aerial strikes.
