KGB officers call Belarusians in emigration through their friends — what do they want?
Anton's friends (name changed at the request of the hero) were summoned one by one by KGB officers. Moreover, the meetings were arranged in a cunning way — they were promptly summoned either to the traffic police, the tax office, or the passport office, but at the location, they were met by KGB officers.

Anton has not lived in Belarus since 2022. The first time security forces contacted him was a couple of months ago, precisely through a friend.
«They called me from a friend's phone so that I would definitely pick up the receiver. As I understood, they had previously called me themselves from a Belarusian number, but I ignored them,» — the man says.
«My friend immediately told me that he was surrounded by security officers and they wanted to talk to me. The KGB agent gave his name but didn't provide any more info about himself, saying: «I can't». He immediately stated that he supposedly didn't bother his parents specifically, because they were elderly.»
First and foremost, the interlocutor was interested in donations to the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment and whether there was a desire to join its ranks, or acquaintances who already serve there.
«He immediately stated that they have all the lists of donors, and I am among them.»
Then the officer started asking about the diaspora, who organizes rallies abroad, but Anton stated that he was not going to talk about other people, only about himself.
«He asked me if I wanted to return to Belarus and said that he could help with that. He repeated three times, «let's cooperate, and I will help you return to your homeland». But it's clear that this is all a lie. Only someone who lives in a tank could agree to cooperation with security forces.»
According to the interlocutor, KGB officers also interrogated his other friends. After that, they stopped contacting him and maintaining any communication.
Anton also said that someone has been purposefully and continuously trying for almost two years to hack his Belarusian Telegram account.
Earlier, we reported how KGB officers try to recruit Belarusian emigrants through their parents.
