Iryna Kapinos, owner of the Is car rental service, reported an outrageous incident on Threads. She published photos of four "letters of happiness" from the traffic police (GAI) that arrived after another renter of a Volkswagen Jetta.
The speed enthusiast drove at 125–141 kilometers per hour (excessive speeds of 35–51 kilometers per hour were recorded). The total cost of these adventures amounted to 1215 rubles.
Iryna added that a day of renting this car cost only 160 rubles.

Commentators immediately guessed the nationality of the guest-racer: "Friends from Russia on the weekend. Classic!" Someone joked and asked if a blind person was behind the wheel. Iryna replied: "According to the documents, no certificate or glasses were needed. Just a citizen of Russia in Belarus."
People tried to find ways to avoid such incidents in the future. Some demand a lifetime ban on entry to Belarus for similar violations, while others advise limiting the maximum possible speed in rental cars to 90 kilometers per hour.
Iryna was advised to write a statement to the traffic police (GAI) so that they would find the racer themselves and deal with him. The woman admitted that she does exactly that — "I send letters to the GAI in batches."
