It was found out how to eat that popular marshmallow discussed on social media due to its laxative effect

In Threads, everyone is talking about Bobruisk marshmallow NanoFit — it turned out it has a laxative effect, and sometimes a very strong one. "Nasha Niva" found out how much of it can be eaten so that only pleasant memories remain from the treat.

The NanoFit marshmallow from Bobruisk's "Chyrvony Harcavik" (Red Food Producer) is actively discussed in Threads. This product is presented as healthy food, as it contains the sweetener maltitol instead of sugar, and its calorie content is lower than regular marshmallow.

However, it turned out that this marshmallow has a laxative effect. A Threads user wrote about it — asking to share impressions, whether that marshmallow caused diarrhea. And she received more than a thousand comments from users who had a similar experience with that marshmallow. Many became curious to try the marshmallow themselves, and demand for it soared. People write that it is now difficult to buy.

By the way, there is a warning from the manufacturer on the marshmallow packaging: "Contains sweeteners. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect."

But how to understand how much of that marshmallow can be eaten? A journalist from "Nasha Niva" called "Chyrvony Harcavik" as a consumer. An employee of the enterprise answered:

"I can't tell you exactly, because it all depends on the organism. But I can say for myself — I started eating it from a quarter to see how the body would react to it. It contains maltitol. In some people, it causes nothing, but in others, it causes an upset stomach, bloating.

If you want to start eating it, try starting with a quarter and gradually increasing the dosage. The body will then get used to the sweetener."

This recipe was developed by the enterprise for 2.5 years together with scientists from the Academy of Sciences.

A safe dose of maltitol is usually 20-40 grams per day, but much depends on the body's sensitivity. One marshmallow contains 26 g of maltitol.
