Active preparations for the new season are underway at the Bolshoi Theater. The theater is currently carrying out the final preparatory work. The 94th season will open with a gala concert "Triumph of Opera" on September 6.

One of the most spectacular parts of the process is the maintenance of the main chandelier in the auditorium. This time, you will not only be able to admire it up close but also take a spectacular photo shoot against its background, writes Onliner.by.

The event is scheduled for August 26, the photo session is named "Crystal Perspective". On this day, the chandelier will be lowered to arm's length. Ticket price is 15 rubles, shooting duration is 20 minutes.

You can only shoot with personal, not professional equipment — a phone or a camera. A total of 6 time slots are provided — from 12:00 to 14:30. Tickets can still be purchased for any of them, although the number of places is limited.

The chandelier is one of the important symbols of the theater. It was made in Lida. Its diameter is 4 meters, and its weight is over a ton. For most of the year, the chandelier hangs on the 8th floor on a sturdy metal frame. It has a total of 32,000 crystal pendants and 500 light bulbs. It is usually lowered from its "pedestal" only once a year.
