As a result of the attack, fuel and lubricant tanks at the oil loading complex were damaged. The Ukrainian side claims that this facility is used to supply the Russian army. The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev earlier reported a drone attack on the Yeysk district. According to him, one of the drones fell in the private sector, and its debris hit an enterprise on the port territory. A fire broke out there, which was being extinguished at the time of the report.

There were also reports of casualties among local residents. According to Kondratyev's statement, two children died as a result of the attack, and two adults were hospitalized.

The Yeysk oil loading complex is part of the infrastructure of the Yeysk seaport. It is used for receiving, storing, and loading oil products onto marine vessels.

The total throughput capacity of the port's cargo terminals is about 6.8 million tons of cargo per year. More than a million tons of this volume accounts for liquid cargo, including oil products.
