A Minsk resident ordered 101 roses but couldn't give the bouquet to his girlfriend
A 19-year-old Minsk resident ordered a bouquet of 101 red roses online to please his girlfriend. However, instead of flowers, he lost 200 rubles and became a victim of fraudsters, reports the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
The guy found a flower shop online where a bouquet was offered at an attractive price. The seller also promised to add a postcard with a romantic inscription to the order. The only condition was full prepayment, so the Minsk resident transferred 200 rubles to the specified account.
However, the guy was not alerted by the fact that the last publication on the store's account was made back in September last year.
At the appointed time, the bouquet was not delivered. The "manager" stopped responding to messages and then blocked the buyer altogether.
The guy contacted the police. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of fraud.
To avoid such situations, you should not make purchases through dubious accounts on social networks, especially if the seller requires full prepayment. A large number of subscribers and beautiful photos in the profile also do not guarantee the reliability of the seller. It is better to use verified services.
