"Grandmas will soon start fighting." People queue for products from the mobile shop from six in the morning
In Uzda, every Thursday, a queue gathers near the mobile shop of the Stolbtsy Meat and Canning Plant. Some customers start queuing as early as 6 AM, although the vehicle with products only arrives around 10:30 AM. The reason for such a stir is simple: popular products are far from enough for everyone, writes BGmedia.
A local resident filmed a video where she says that a similar situation has been going on for about three years. Shoppers know each other and every week practically compete for the chance to be first.
"Grandmas will soon start fighting, everyone there hates each other because the first one takes everything," describes the Belarusian woman about what is happening. She suggested that the plant either bring more products or set a limit on the quantity of goods per person.
In the comments, the woman explained that certain items, such as beef cheeks and ribs, are especially quickly snapped up. The first customers can buy products not only for themselves but also for relatives and acquaintances, so those who are third or fourth in line often don't get everything they want.
The author says that her parents also get up around five in the morning to queue. Meanwhile, pensioners have to wait several hours for the mobile shop, regardless of the weather.
According to her, the problem is also that the necessary products are not available in ordinary shops in Uzda.
At the same time, there are practically no complaints about the Stolbtsy plant itself in the comments. On the contrary, its products are widely praised: "Very high quality and delicious," "Stolbtsy products are a hit," "Worth trying once - and that's it, you're hooked."
The situation was also commented on by the meat processing plant itself. They explained that it refers to products that are physically impossible to produce in large volumes. The quantity of some by-products directly depends on the volume of animal processing: only a limited number of the same cheeks or ribs can be obtained from one carcass.
