In India, all three died as parents tried to save their 18-year-old son from suicide
After a family dispute, an 18-year-old boy jumped from a cliff. His parents fell with him while trying to save him, writes The Times of India.
In the Indian city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, an 18-year-old boy died after falling into a deep stone quarry. His father also fell trying to save his son, and his mother jumped after them.
According to eyewitnesses, after a family dispute, the boy came to the top of the cliff and stood near the edge.
Soon his parents and local residents arrived there, later followed by police and rescuers. For almost three hours, they tried to persuade the boy to move away from the dangerous spot. He threatened to jump several times and continued to move along the edge of the cliff.
Rescuers prepared a safety net below, and the parents did not stop trying to dissuade their son.
But the boy suddenly slipped and fell into the quarry. The father immediately tried to grab him, but lost his balance and also fell down.
The mother, who witnessed her husband and son fall, also jumped into the quarry moments later.
