Minsk Ring Road and Independence Avenue to be fully converted to LEDs
By the end of 2026, the Minsk Ring Road and Independence Avenue in Minsk will be fully converted to LED lighting, reported Alexander Vorobtsov, director of UE "Minskgorsvet".

As reported by "Minskgorsvet", this year it is planned to replace more than 11 thousand gas-discharge lamps with modern LED ones. This is expected to reduce electricity consumption for street lighting by up to 40 percent.
In total, by 2030, Minsk plans to replace about 70 thousand street lights.
In addition, the city will continue to develop architectural lighting. Project documentation is being prepared for 30 objects, including buildings near the Minsk Ring Road, the Second Transport Ring, and along the third metro line.
New decorative lighting will also appear on Orlovskaya and Miroshnichenko streets, Stary Aeroport Square, as well as near the entrances to the 900th Anniversary of Minsk Park, Alexandrovsky Garden, Loshitsky Park and other city facilities. Some of these works have already been completed, the rest are planned to be finished by the end of the year.
