The Saratov oil refinery suspended operations after an attack by Ukrainian drones, carried out on July 8. This was reported by Reuters, citing two sources familiar with the situation.

According to agency sources, drones damaged the main crude oil primary processing unit, which is the only one of its kind at the facility. Following this, the refinery stopped processing raw materials.
The company «Rosneft», which owns the refinery, has not yet commented on these reports.
Saratov region Governor Roman Busargin earlier stated that one person was killed as a result of the attack, and several others were injured. According to him, industrial facilities were damaged.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the target of the strike was specifically the Saratov Oil Refinery.
According to exchange data, fuel from this refinery has no longer been offered for trading since Wednesday. This is not the first suspension of its operations after drone attacks — similar incidents also occurred in March and May.
Since the beginning of the year, several Russian oil refineries have been affected by strikes. Earlier, there were also reports of damage to Russia's largest Omsk Oil Refinery, and on the night of July 9, after drone attacks, fires broke out at oil depots in the Tver region and Stavropol Krai. Additionally, an attack on the oil refinery in Kirishi, Leningrad region, was reported.
