US and Iran again exchanged blows — for the seventh night in a row

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday night new strikes on Iran with the aim of "further weakening military capabilities." CENTCOM noted that this is already the seventh consecutive series of such strikes.

Iranian state media, cited by Reuters, reported explosions that occurred after American strikes in the cities of Ahvaz, Yazd, and Bandar Abbas, as well as on islands in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran also stated that it retaliated by striking American bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. These attacks have not been confirmed at this time.

Additionally, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that two tankers, moving along a route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, which, according to the IRGC, is controlled by the US, hit mines. The names of the tankers were not mentioned in the IRGC statement. CENTCOM called this claim "false."

Shortly before the seventh wave of strikes began, Tehran stated that it would resume "full-scale operations" if the US continued to strike Iranian targets in the coming days.
