Ministry of Transport calculated the average cost of a taxi ride in Belarus

A significant increase in the number of officially registered taxi cars and drivers was recorded in Belarus during the first half of summer. The Ministry of Transport and Communications also named the average check amount for a trip in the country.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the average check for a single taxi ride across Belarus currently stands at about 12 rubles.

As of July 18, 37,290 taxi drivers are listed in the registry. In one and a half months, their number increased by 344 people (approximately 1%).

Currently, 27,720 taxi cars are officially registered. This is 713 units (or 2.6%) more than at the beginning of June.

Since the beginning of 2026, the number of taxi cars on Belarusian roads has increased by almost 6%.

Every seventh taxi is an electric car.
