“Communism is a failed system, and it always will be.” Trump delivered a speech celebrating the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence
The U.S. anniversary in Washington was celebrated with record fireworks.

Trump's speech started later due to the threat of a thunderstorm. Before that, there was a very strong heatwave, as a result of which the organizers were forced to change the celebration program.
“The communist system is the complete opposite of the American one,” Trump said. “Our warriors fought communism on battlefields around the world not for this threat to raise its ugly head again right here in America.”
This was addressed to both China and Trump's domestic opponents, including left-wing Democrats who call themselves socialists.
“Our American destiny is written by God,” Trump said. “And the best is yet to come.”
