A children's book by a Czech writer has been published in Belarusian
The young Polish publishing house LINGVA-BY published the work of Czech writer Iva Procházková, "Squeaky in Heaven" ("Myši patří do nebe", 2006). Siarhiej Smatrychienka re-created this children's book in Belarusian, and Volha Yakubouskaya illustrated it, writes Bellit.info.
"Squeaky in Heaven" is a touching and profound story that tells of the unusual friendship between a little mouse named Squeaky and a fox named White-chest. Although by nature the characters should be sworn enemies, they find common ground and embark on an incredible journey.
This book is about overcoming fears, finding one's place in the world, the importance of forgiveness, and understanding that death is not the end, but merely a transition to something new.
Through the adventures of her characters, the author gently and sincerely talks to the reader about eternal questions of life, loss, and friendship that is stronger than any prejudices.
