Police detained a 20-year-old assistant to telephone scammers

She managed to make several trips from a neighboring country.

Minsk criminal investigation operatives detained a 20-year-old foreign national who made a "profession" out of working as a courier for scammers.

Two months ago, a stranger in a gaming chat offered her to earn a large sum of money without much effort. The girl agreed and sent him her personal data and a video selfie with her passport. After that, she received her first assignment — to go to Minsk.

For several days, she collected other people's money from stashes in the forest, where deceived pensioners had left it. After that, she left Belarus and received her earnings from her curator.

After some time, the girl received another assignment and returned to Minsk. She again collected packages of money from stashes and took them outside the Minsk Ring Road, where she left them under a tree for the next courier, but was detained.

70,000 rubles have been confiscated and will be returned to the deceived people.
