Fresh salads and Greek strawberries promise to become as common dishes on the Easter table as buns and eggs. Before Easter, strawberries were already selling for 10 rubles per 1 kg at Komarovsky market in Minsk, and radishes also became significantly cheaper, writes Smartpress.by.
There are plenty of strawberries; all berries are large, bright red, available in trays and by weight. The taste is not watery, although it lacks the sweet seasonal taste and aroma of homemade Belarusian strawberries, which usually appear in the second half of June.
But even Greek strawberries are in demand in April. They are beautiful, juicy, and already quite affordable — the price for strawberries has dropped to 10-12 rubles per 1 kg.
However, blueberries, whose price drop Smartpress.by so happily announced earlier, have stabilized in price, and in some places, it has even risen again. As in March, they are offered for sale before Easter for 80-120 rubles per 1 kg. Large, selected, outwardly luxurious — but not affordable for everyone.
Among fruits, good apples (2-6 rubles per 1 kg), pears (5-7 rubles per 1 kg), oranges, mandarins (3-8 rubles per 1 kg), plums (3-5 rubles per 1 kg), and grapes (4-15 rubles per 1 kg) are available.
Special attention is paid to radishes and fresh greens. While recently radishes were sold only at a few points throughout the market, now radishes are eye-catching. Large piles on the counters, you can touch and even taste them. The price varies — from 4 to 10 rubles per 1 kg.
