A Russian woman, in love with Moscow, married a Belarusian man four months after meeting — and moved to Brest with him

Russian woman Vera Miroshnikova tells her love story on Instagram.

She herself is from Krasnodar, but has lived in Moscow for the last seven years. Vera considers herself a fan of Russia — its culture and history. She is involved in blogging, photography, and marketing. By education, she is an artist and teacher, but admits that she never worked a day in that field, and only received the diploma for her parents.

The girl grew up in a religious family — attending a Baptist church since childhood, and was baptized at 20. Therefore, she had quite strict views — at 27, Vera had never even kissed anyone.

Thanks to this, Vera met Daniil. They participated together in morning Bible discussions. Initially, there was no hint of romantic feelings — purely friendship.

But when it was time for Vera to leave for Russia, the guy offered to help her carry her things to the railway station and bought her food for the journey — and the very next day, the couple started corresponding.

Then the Russian woman returned to Brest for their first official date — to visit various city museums. The only thing that bothered the girl about her chosen one was his unfortunate fringe. But she soon managed to get him to change it.

Returning to Moscow, Vera began to cry at the station — realizing that leaving Daniil was a mistake. Already for their second date, she was going with plans to meet the Belarusian man's parents. He, by the way, is a bit younger than Vera — he was 25 years old at the time of their acquaintance.

And already on their third date, the marriage proposal happened. Daniil's sister helped decorate one of the city's staircases with white fabric, rose petals, and candles.

The guy even invited a content creator to film a beautiful reel about the engagement for Vera's social media.

The wedding preparation was also largely religious — the couple met for talks with the pastor and listened to "The Biblical Portrait of Marriage".

In December, the couple announced their engagement at Daniil's church. However, they couldn't submit documents to the Civil Registry Office (ZAGS) on their first attempt — Vera had to return to Moscow for a certificate stating she was not married.

The wedding and church crowning ceremony were quite grand — there were several hundred guests. And the first slice of cake was sold for as much as 150 dollars.

Now Vera lives in Brest, but she misses Moscow very much. She says that the Russian capital was and always will be the city of her dreams.
