In Chechnya, the 18-year-old son of the head of the republic, Adam Kadyrov, has formed his own security unit, named "Dustum K-13", writes "Vyorstka".
According to the publication, the fighters of this unit are based at the facility of the "Akhmat" special rapid response detachment in Kadyrov Senior's native village — Akhmat-Yurt. In late 2025 — early 2026, reports began to appear in Chechen media that employees of the "Dustum K-13 Central Base city group" were conducting road raids — stopping drivers and checking their vehicles.
Additionally, "Dustum K-13" has an Instagram channel where videos of the "center's employees'" activities are published. For instance, in one of the clips, men in "Dustum" caps learn how to shoot down drones and operate unmanned aerial vehicles. There are also videos of drill training, shooting practice, and casualty evacuation.
Adam Kadyrov gained widespread notoriety in September 2023 when he beat Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested for burning the Quran, in the Grozny pre-trial detention center, writes Moscow Times.
After this, he twice became a Hero of Chechnya and received several high positions in the republic, including Secretary of the Security Council and curator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, Kadyrov Jr. was appointed head of his father's security service. In October 2024, his name was entered into the Russian Book of Records as the youngest head of a subject leader's security service — he was 16 years old at the time.
During this time, Kadyrov Jr. has received over 20 awards.
