A mysterious chapel was built in the Minsk region. What is known about it?
Travelers noticed an unusual wooden chapel in the Minsk region, the construction of which is almost complete. It is surprising that the religious object was erected far from populated areas — in a tract among fields between villages, writes Katolik.life.

The small building looks mysterious, travelers note. It is located on the border of the Stoŭbcy and Valozhyn districts.
Journalists found this point on the cadastral map of Belarus, which indicates that the intended purpose of the plot is "for the construction and maintenance of a religious building — a chapel in the area of the village of Virlavichy" in the Litva Rural Council (village of Litva).
This confirms that the plot for the Catholic chapel was allocated to a religious community.
So far, there is no public information — who built it, for what purpose, to which parish it belongs, or what its title is. Local believers also do not know about the chapel. But here's what was found out.
The closest active Catholic parish to this location is in the village of Ročavičy. It is overseen by the Franciscan Fathers from Iwieniec. The parish has its own chapel, but it probably received this plot for a new religious object, which the monks might have built for their needs. It remains to be seen whether the chapel and its purpose will be officially announced after the completion of the work.
According to the cadastral map data, this land plot in the Stoŭbcy district received the appropriate status in 2019, but the chapel was built only now. Satellite images from Google Maps from spring 2026 show only an embankment for the building's foundation on the plot.
