Ukraine will do everything possible to ensure that the Russian war ends before the winter of 2026. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv, RBC-Ukraine writes.
The head of the Ukrainian state focused diplomats on actions to incline Russia towards peace as quickly as possible.
“This year, your [ambassadors’] task is to provide maximum support to the external track in relations with partners for the government of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, it is currently impossible to predict 100% when all diplomatic efforts, Ukraine’s attacks against Russia, and all partners' sanctions will work.
However, they must achieve precisely such a level of pressure that Russia has no other alternative but peace.
“We will try very hard to make this happen before winter, in autumn, but we clearly understand who we are dealing with, and that Putin hopes to drag out this war further. He is preparing for mobilization and new strikes. We see Russia’s true intentions, unite partners, and put pressure on the aggressor,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
