Young Belarusian woman terrorizes Malta — threatened medics and police, and when released, bit her partner
The name of 28-year-old Belarusian citizen Aryna Zrakava is increasingly appearing in the island's crime reports. She is currently in custody.
Aryna Zrakava's first incident occurred in January 2026. She got so drunk in the town of Għargħur that, in legal terms, she was unable to take care of herself. But when medics and police arrived to help her, the Belarusian woman insulted and threatened them.
Initially, Zrakava denied guilt, but later admitted to all charges. The court found her guilty of insults and threats, disturbing public order, and public intoxication.
Considering the girl's problems with alcohol and drugs, the court, instead of imprisonment, sentenced her to three years of probation, a fine of 1200 euros, compulsory addiction treatment for three years, and a protective order in favor of five victims – also for three years.
However, Aryna did not calm down. As reported by TVM, on the morning of July 19, Zrakava appeared at a garage in Qormi, where her former partner works. She hit the man with a helmet and bit his finger. In addition, she is accused of damaging motorcycles and car windshields in the garage – the damage is estimated at more than 2000 euros.
On July 20, in court, Zrakava pleaded not guilty. The defense requested her release on bail, but the prosecution objected – partly because the victim had not yet given testimony. The court denied bail and kept the Belarusian woman in custody, issuing a protective order in favor of her former partner for three years.
If Aryna's guilt in the second attack is proven, she will face punishment also for the January case.
