The number of victims of the road accident in Svietlahorsk district increased to 4. Another child died
On August 5, around 3:00 PM, on the 18th kilometer of the H-5011 highway "Svietlahorsk — Sasnovy Bor — Paliessie", a 46-year-old Mazda driver lost control , drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an oncoming MAZ fuel tanker. Three people died on the spot, but later the number of victims increased further, the Investigative Committee reported .
The driver of the car, his 11-year-old daughter, and 78-year-old mother-in-law died at the scene of the accident. Two more passengers — the driver's 51-year-old wife and her 8-year-old nephew — were taken to the hospital.
However, despite the efforts of medics, the child died.
A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident under Part 3 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Belarus — for violation of traffic rules or operation of vehicles, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons.
