Valiantsina Sliunchanka, Restorer and Vytynanka Master, Passed Away
In Minsk, Valiantsina Sliunchanka, a restorer, educator, and member of the Belarusian Union of Folk Art Masters, passed away. She was 86 years old.

Working at the Research and Design Institute of Restoration of the Ministry of Culture of the BSSR, Valiantsina Antonauna stood at the origins of the revival of vytynanka art in Belarus. Thanks to her initiative and efforts, this lost tradition was included in educational programs for children and youth in art studios.
Valiantsina Sliunchanka was the widow of the outstanding Belarusian restorer Valery Sliunchanka.
