Apple reclaimed its status as the world's most valuable company
Following Monday's trading on July 27, Apple shares rose by 2% and almost reached a market capitalization of $5 trillion.

This allowed the company to regain its status as the world's most valuable public company, which it had recently ceded to Nvidia, Business Insider reports.
Nvidia's market capitalization fell by 5% at the close of trading, amounting to $4.77 trillion.
The reason for the drop was the decision to allocate $250 billion to data centers for OpenAI. Investors considered such expenditures on artificial intelligence development to be excessive.
As Business Insider notes, Apple, which was previously criticized for insufficient attention to artificial intelligence development, may now benefit from investors shifting towards more consumer-oriented companies.
Incidentally, since the beginning of the year, Apple shares have risen by 26%, while Nvidia's have risen by 6%.
