Nausėda: Russia May Be Preparing Provocations Against Neighboring Countries

The President of Lithuania stated that special services have information about possible isolated provocations by Russia against neighboring states, writes Delfi.lt.

According to him, Moscow is currently not capable of waging a full-scale war on two fronts, but the risk of isolated provocations remains.

In this regard, Lithuania has already strengthened the protection of critical infrastructure objects — energy, transport, and communications. Both law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces have been engaged in ensuring security.

According to G. Nausėda, if Russia attacks any NATO state, it will face a harsh response from the Alliance.

«First of all, let's stop saying that the threat exists only for some neighboring countries. Such statements are unconstructive. What would a Russian intervention against a particular NATO country mean? It means that Russia is attacking all of NATO,» the President of Lithuania stated.
