Trouble with petrol, and eating on the curb: former freestyler Assol Slivets returns from vacation in Russia with four children
The famous athlete went by car with her four children and her mother to vacation by the sea in Russia. The 1800-kilometer return journey is not without adventures.
Despite the potential danger, Assol Slivets decided to take her four children to the sea in Russia. The youngest of them is only two years old. The athlete's second husband did not go with them. Assol's mother helped with such a large company of children.
The woman herself was behind the wheel of the car — 1800 kilometers one way. They started at the end of June, laying out the route through Mogilev, Bryansk, Oryol.
Then Assol told in her stories that there were no problems with petrol on the M4 Moscow — Novorossiysk highway, but off the highway, fuel was not always available. She complained that it's currently impossible to use a navigator in Russia because GPS constantly disappears. And she recommended turning off the dashcam to avoid accidentally filming something: "Because you might film something, and it's a restricted object. Military equipment is being transported along the highway."
She also shared that she didn't give the children tablets or turn on cartoons, as it made them carsick. So on the road, they ate, slept, and played word games.
The family enjoyed the vacation itself. Assol wrote on Instagram: "Yes, vacationing with children is not easy, but the emotions and discoveries are worth any trouble. Because that's how the warmest memories are born."
But on the way home, there were more adventures. Assol recounts: "There's trouble with petrol. Diesel is better, but still tense. You drive 600 kilometers searching. Either it's closed, or there are hour-long queues."
They literally have to eat on the road. Since there's a rush at petrol stations, they make sandwiches right on the curbs.
The driver herself shares a life hack on how not to get tired behind the wheel: "I've come up with a working scheme: while they eat, wash their hands, and stretch their legs — I, as the driver, sleep. I can eat while driving. This both distracts me and keeps me from falling asleep."
