Unexpected references to Belarus often appear in foreign cinema. This time, a peculiar greeting from our country was found in a popular Turkish series. Employees of the TV channel "Belarus 4. Mogilev" spoke about the unusual detail on Threads, as reported by Tochka.by .
The Belarusian trace appeared in the 60th episode of the first season of the crime series "Çukur".
In one of the most dramatic scenes, the stern police commissioner Emrah unexpectedly sits down at the piano and begins to masterfully perform Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".
The episode was remembered by fans of the series for its tense atmosphere and the performance of actor Alperen Duymaz.
But attentive Belarusian viewers weren't only looking at the character. The legendary "Belarus" piano, formerly produced in Borisov and now manufactured in Minsk, was shown in a close-up shot.
This reference sparked a lively discussion on Threads. Many admitted that they noticed it immediately:
