Israeli and American military intelligence had long observed and waited for a rare opportunity: a meeting of Iran's top political and military leaders where they could all be eliminated at once. That day finally arrived on Saturday, the publication writes.
Intelligence officers discovered not one such meeting, but three. And they precisely located the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The moment was so unique that American and Israeli warplanes struck in broad daylight. Israeli aircraft dropped 30 bombs on Khamenei's residence, leaving it scorched and destroyed.

Israel also stated that a number of other high-ranking political and military officials were killed, including Ali Shamkhani, Khamenei's chief security adviser; Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh.
