In a week, the number of respiratory infection cases in Belarus increased by 18 percent
64.4% of those infected are children, according to the Ministry of Health.

Active circulation of influenza A viruses, predominantly A(H3N2), is observed. Non-influenza pathogens are also circulating in the country: metapneumoviruses, RS virus, rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, seasonal coronavirus, parainfluenza viruses, bocaparvoviruses, SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The Ministry of Health also provided a number of recommendations for the prevention of respiratory infections:
— temporarily limit visiting places or events with a large number of people in enclosed spaces;
— limit contact with sick people — avoid visiting polyclinics and hospitals unless absolutely necessary;
— visit sick relatives using respiratory protection;
— observe hand hygiene rules — wash hands frequently with soap, use hygienic and disinfecting wipes;
— regularly ventilate premises and perform wet cleaning, including disinfection of surfaces (phones, tables, door handles, etc.);
— maintain an optimal indoor air humidity level (40-60%): a warm and dry indoor climate is an ideal environment for rapid virus spread;
— observe "respiratory etiquette" — cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue when sneezing or coughing, do not touch your nose, mouth, and eyes with your hands;
— choose appropriate clothing for going outdoors;
— lead a healthy lifestyle — sleep at least 8 hours, avoid stress and overwork, harden your body, eat a balanced diet.
