Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov met in Minsk with an Omani delegation led by Princess Mona bint Fahad Al Said — Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Oman.
The meeting was also attended by Jamal al-Musawi, Secretary General of the National Museum of Oman. The Omani delegation is in Belarus to expand bilateral cooperation in the educational and cultural spheres.
During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between universities of Belarus and Oman. They noted significant potential in this area and discussed possibilities for its further development, including the implementation of joint projects between the higher educational institutions of the two countries.
The parties also reviewed the plan of cultural events for 2026-2027. The possibility of holding mutual exhibitions and performances by artistic groups was discussed. In addition, during the meeting, issues of political interaction between Belarus and Oman were touched upon.
On September 14, Mona bint Fahad Al Said received the title of honorary professor of Belarusian State University.
