EU has not yet agreed on 21st package of sanctions against Russia

Despite the fact that the new package of sanctions has not yet been agreed upon, EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas announced that on July 13, another 250 Russian individuals and legal entities could be included in the sanctions lists. According to her, "this is the largest number of persons we have ever added to the sanctions lists," writes DW Belarus.
"As for the 21st package, there are still open questions here," she added.
In addition, at the request of Bulgaria, the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill and the founder of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, were excluded from the draft 21st package.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented the EU's 21st package of sanctions on June 9. Among the proposed measures is a ban on entry into the European Union for participants in Russia's war against Ukraine.
Initially, the European Commission proposed to ban entry into the EU for all those who served in the Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine. However, due to the position of France and Italy, this measure was decided to be softened: now it is proposed to extend the restrictions only to short-term visas and to individuals who directly participated in hostilities.
