The decision to introduce sanitation was made by the Economic Court of Gomel Region after reviewing the results of the insolvency proceedings concerning the open joint-stock company.
As early as January 30, 2026, the court initiated insolvency proceedings against the Gomel Meat Processing Plant and appointed "Stanibor" company, led by director Vladimir Nasonov, to manage this process. During their work, an assessment of the company's financial situation was conducted, its capabilities were studied, and a crisis exit plan was prepared.
According to the report of the insolvency proceedings manager, the enterprise has no wage arrears to its employees. About 800 people work at the meat processing plant, so its continued operation is of great importance not only for Gomel itself but also for the entire economy of the country's southeastern region.
Taking into account the submitted documents, the court recognized the Gomel Meat Processing Plant as economically insolvent, but considered it possible not to cease its operations, but to give it a chance for recovery. Sanitation has been introduced for three years – until June 8, 2029. During this time, the management of the enterprise and responsible structures must implement all planned measures and achieve an improvement in its financial condition.
The Gomel Meat Processing Plant was registered in December 1994. Its main activity is the production of meat products. The enterprise is one of the largest employers in the region and holds an important place in the processing industry of the Gomel region.
