Yanushkevich Publishing House announced the start of sales of Ayn Rand's main novel, «Atlas Shrugged», translated into Belarusian. This is a substantial edition of more than 1200 pages in hardcover, writes bellit.info.

Ayn Rand's «Atlas Shrugged» is a monumental dystopian novel and a manifesto of rational egoism. The action takes place in the USA, where the government destroys the free market and oppresses talented creators. At the center of the plot are Dagny Taggart and Hank Rearden, who try to save their businesses from inevitable collapse.
The world is sustained by the minds and energy of a few engines of progress — the "Atlases." When they stop working due to socialist pressure, civilization collapses. The work reveals the philosophy of Objectivism, where the highest values are reason, personal happiness, and productive work.
The mysterious John Galt organizes a strike of humanity's best minds to prove: without creators, a parasitic society will perish. Ayn Rand's novel compels reflection on the individual's role in history, the limits of state control, and the moral right of a person to live for their own sake, according to the annotation.
The book can be purchased through the publisher's website Knihauka.com, as well as in a bookstore in Warsaw.
