KGB declared a coalition of several publishers an extremist formation
The "Coalition of Print Publishers 'Fund Kamunikat.org', 'Lohvinau Publishing House', 'Andrei Yanushkevich Publishing'" has been declared an "extremist formation". The decision was made by the KGB on March 3.
In connection with this formation, Yaroslav Ivanyuk, Zmitser Kolas, Ihar Lohvinau, Vatslau Bahdanovich, Andrei Yanushkevich, and Ales Yaudakha are mentioned in the list. The websites and social networks of the publishers have also been added to the list.
It should be noted that in February, mass arrests of publishers and book distributors took place in Minsk. Later, Gutenberg Publisher was declared an "extremist formation," and "Technologia" closed down.
Accusations of extremism are used by the Belarusian authorities to combat opponents, as well as to persecute dissent in general.
