Found a friend and moved to a public enclosure. How is the raccoon-illegal alien Yesenia living now?
The raccoon named Yesenia, whom Belarusian customs officers found in a sea container from the USA, has been living in the Animal Park near Baranavichy for several months now. Journalists from Times.by found out how the most popular raccoon in Belarus is doing.

Yesenia, who grew up in the wild, adapted to the park quite difficultly: the move was stressful for her. Employees were worried about the animal, but gradually they managed to establish contact with the raccoon.
"They tried to introduce her to a male named Maksim, but Yesenia wouldn't let him near her and tried to run away. However, they didn't conflict or fight – she just didn't want to be near him," says Yuliya Sak, leading marketer at the Animal Park.
Yesenia is now approximately three years old. She lives in the same enclosure with her friend Violetta – the two of them managed to get along and their personalities matched.
Raccoons have demonstrative feedings every day.
Yesenia arrived in our country from the USA in a sea container; Grodno customs officers found her there. Initially, the animal was in quarantine at the Ashmyany District Veterinary Station, and then moved to the Animal Park in Baranavichy.
It was in the park that they found out that the raccoon, initially thought to be a boy and named Senya, was actually a girl. They began to choose a new name for her and eventually named her Yesenia and issued her a passport.

Хорошо, что в Беларуси вроде бы еще не приняли закон о запрете пропаганды гомосексуализма, как в скрепной России
