Trump revealed whether he will sign the bill against Russia, which Lindsey Graham sought to pass

US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zeidi, stated that he does not rule out the possibility of signing a bill on strengthening sanctions against Russia. He mentioned that this initiative was actively supported by the recently deceased Senator Lindsey Graham.

Trump also noted that additional sanctions against Iran and the "Hezbollah" group could be included in the bill.

In addition, the American president commented on the death of Lindsey Graham. He said that he sees no signs of deliberate actions and believes that the existing conspiracy theories lack sufficient grounds.

As American media previously reported, citing a representative of the US presidential administration, the White House is ready to support the adoption of a bipartisan bill on new sanctions against Russia. It is not ruled out that after the senator's death, the document may be considered even sooner.

Senate Republican Majority Leader John Thune announced that work on the bill is ongoing and the chances of its passage remain high. However, it is not yet known who will be responsible for further advancing the document.

Should the law be passed, Trump will have the opportunity to introduce high tariffs on imports from countries that purchase Russian oil, uranium, and natural gas. According to estimates, such measures could increase economic pressure on Russia.
