Several people were injured in an attack at a secondary school in southern Bavaria. Police reported that a suspect has been detained.
According to German law enforcement, the detained suspect is a 16‑year‑old teenager. He is a Croatian citizen who lives in Germany with his parents. The boy had previously undergone psychological treatment. Police are now determining the exact number of victims and the severity of their injuries.
Residents were urged to stay away from the area around Welfen-Gymnasium in the town of Schongau, where the incident occurred. A large number of police officers were working at the scene.
