Ukrainian air defense failed to shoot down a single ballistic missile: Patriot missiles needed

On the night of July 6, Ukraine's air defense could not intercept any of the 29 missiles that flew along a ballistic trajectory. The sharp drop in effectiveness is due to a critical shortage of missiles for Patriot systems, which are capable of combating ballistic threats. This was stated by Air Force spokesman Colonel Yuriy Ihnat during a national telethon broadcast.

The Air Force representative noted that the number of systems themselves in the country is sufficient, but constant supplies of missiles are needed.

According to him, Russia is exploiting a serious global deficit of PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptors, relying precisely on ballistic strikes.

Yuriy Ihnat recalled that the day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his address, specifically emphasized this problem, warning international partners about Russia's preparation for a massive ballistic missile attack.

Meanwhile, Ihnat stated that Russia is already ready for a new massive strike, which could happen "as early as tomorrow".
