Police continue to search for the killer of the Russian artist and blogger who died on June 15 in Biała Podlaska, writes Most.
Law enforcement denied information that a man detained near the entrance to the Belarusian consulate was involved in the murder. A total of three people were detained, one of whom has already been released.
— The perpetrator fled the scene, — Andrzej Fijołek from the Lublin Voivodeship police told Wyborcza.
— During large-scale police operations, two Belarusian citizens were detained in the area of the Belarusian consulate in Biała Podlaska. The involvement and connection of these men to the incident are subject to intensive investigation, — investigators told Onet.pl.
So far, none of the Belarusians have been charged. The district prosecutor's office in Biała Podlaska will transfer the case to the regional prosecutor's office in Lublin. An investigation has been launched into the murder committed with the use of a firearm.
Biała Podlaska police reported that roadblocks at the exits of the city have been removed. By decision of the Voivodeship Police Commander in Lublin, a special investigative group has been established. Officers are appealing to drivers who were traveling with dashcams on Monday between 8:30 and 10:30 to hand over their recordings.
According to an anonymous employee of the Polish services who spoke to Onet, the man was killed by close-range shots.
