Scientists encountered a lynx that jumped onto a spruce tree two meters in front of them. Before the animal escaped, zoologists managed to identify the local male, Plyamkach.

But the most interesting thing is that a den with two small lynx cubs was found near this spot. This means the male was sitting in this den with the children while the mother was absent.
For a long time, it was believed in science that lynxes are solitary animals and that the male does not participate in raising offspring. But this case is confirmation that the social behavior of lynxes is more developed than commonly thought.
