Trump announced that the US and Iran have reached an agreement:
"The agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is concluded. Congratulations everyone! With this, I fully authorize the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and, simultaneously, authorize the immediate lifting of the United States naval blockade. Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow!"
"This important agreement will bring peace and security to the entire region. Many presidents tried to make peace with Iran, and all of them failed until me. Leaders of the region have for the first time found a president who can help them achieve true peace. With the opening of the Strait after the agreement is signed on Friday and demining operations are conducted, oil will flow again in both directions for the region and the entire world!"
Iran also disclosed 14 points of the peace agreement with the US:
— permanent and immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon,
— The US undertakes not to interfere in Iran's internal affairs and to respect its sovereignty,
— complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days,
— The US undertakes to withdraw its troops from areas around Iran,
— restoration of operation of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days with Iran's consent,
— suspension of oil sale sanctions,
— provision by the United States and its allies of reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion,
— holding negotiations within 60 days to reach a final agreement on nuclear issues,
— Iran reaffirms commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and undertakes not to produce nuclear weapons,
— The US undertakes not to increase the number of its troops in the region and not to impose new sanctions,
— unblocking of $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds within a 60-day period of final negotiations. Half of this amount must be transferred to Iran before the start of negotiations,
— creation of a monitoring mechanism for the implementation of the agreement,
— the final agreement will be approved by a UN Security Council resolution,
— final negotiations will not begin until half of Iran's frozen funds are unblocked, sanctions on Iranian oil are suspended, and the naval blockade is lifted.
