Alena Sviridova reduced the number of performances due to chronic illness

According to the website, the 63-year-old performer of the songs «Pink Flamingo» and «Poor Sheep» began experiencing health problems last year. Since autumn, she has been regularly undergoing treatment in a day hospital — at least eight times already, the last time in May.
Meanwhile, Sviridova continues to travel extensively both within the country and abroad. In spring and summer, she vacations in Crimea, where she owns a house by the sea.
The artist herself told Mash that she has no health problems and everything is fine.
Alena Sviridova was born in Kerch, Crimea. When the future singer was still young, her family moved to Minsk, where Alena finished school. She graduated from the music and pedagogical department of what was then the Minsk Pedagogical Institute. During her studies, she led a vocal studio and performed in a female vocal-instrumental ensemble at the trade union committee of the Vavilov plant. She worked as a concertmaster and actress at the Gorky Theater.
In 1993, she moved to Moscow, where she built her career.
