29-year-old Artem Buchin raped and killed a nurse in the city of Chusovoy on August 28, 2022. According to the investigation, that day he had an argument with friends and went outside.
He met 23-year-old nurse Tatyana Rakutina; she asked him for directions, and he offered to walk her. On the way, the girl got scared of Artem and hit him with her bag. He got angry, strangled her, raped her, and finished her off with a stone. The killer was then sentenced to 20 years in a penal colony, although the prosecutor asked for a life sentence, «Ostrozhno, Novosti» report.
Buchin served six months and went to war in Ukraine through PMC 'Wagner'. At the front, he was wounded, pardoned, and soon returned to Chusovoy. Once free, he returned to his ex-wife, and exactly two years after the first murder — on August 28, 2024 — Buchin was drinking with his ex-wife Ekaterina and had an argument with her over smoking.
The woman slapped him; Artem got angry and started to strangle her. Hearing the screams, his ex-wife's 7-year-old daughter Nastya from her first marriage ran in — Artem also strangled her.
After this, he raped and killed them. Ekaterina had a young son: Buchin killed the woman and her daughter from her first marriage, but did not touch his own child.
He hid from the police for the next three days and was later apprehended. Today, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Local publications note that the murdered nurse was buried just 200 meters from Ekaterina and her daughter.
