NATO Calls Emergency Meeting After Drone Strike on Apartment Building in Romania
A Russian drone that crashed in Romania and injured two people has drawn NATO's attention.

"The issue will be discussed at a joint meeting," confirmed Finnish President Alexander Stubb on X, but did not elaborate yet.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also sharply condemned the incident. "Russia's reckless actions create danger for all of us," he wrote on X, writes Bild.
US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker condemned the drone's incursion into Romanian territory. "We stand with our NATO ally Romania," he wrote on X. "The US will defend every inch of NATO territory."
On Friday night, one of the Russian drones entered Romanian airspace and crashed into the roof of an apartment building in the city of Galați in the south of the country, causing a fire. According to Romanian emergency services, two people were injured in the incident and received assistance on the spot.
