«And I'll show you where the attack on the "Oscar" was being prepared from». Belarusians joke about Di Caprio's mustache
Popular American actor Leonardo DiCaprio has changed his image by growing a mustache. The Hollywood star's new look, in which he appeared at the Oscar ceremony , did not go unnoticed on social media.

A wave of jokes among Belarusians was sparked by the flight booking service Aviasales, which published a photo of the actor on the social network Threads with the caption:
«Good try to become popular in the Belarusian part of Threads, Leo, good try…»
Commentators immediately picked up on the joke.
«That's because Belarusian roots are awakening in him,» one reader noted.
For those who didn't immediately grasp the essence of the joke, other users explained succinctly:
«A mustache, like a father's.»
Some internet savvy users decided to perfect the image: using Photoshop, they changed Di Caprio's hairstyle to a combed-over receding hairline.
«I can just hear that hoarse, painfully familiar voice,» people write in the comments.
Users even started attributing quotes to the actor, stylized in the manner of Alexander Lukashenka's statements:
«I sailed on the Titanic,» «And I'll show you where the attack on the 'Oscar' was being prepared from.»
Some simply posted memes:
Others went even further and turned Di Caprio into Ostap Bender, the "great schemer."
Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer) also drew attention to the actor's mustache. The brewery published a meme with the caption:
«When instead of «bakal» (beer glass) you said «kelikh» (goblet) and now you feel like at least a Radziwill.»
Di Caprio, by the way, is not the only Hollywood actor who has changed his image. Timothée Chalamet (known for "Dune") and Jacob Elordi (who played the main role in "Wuthering Heights") also now have mustaches.
