Drunk unlicensed driver stopped with shooting in Dokshitsy district
The incident occurred today long before dawn, at 4:30 AM.
Traffic police officers signaled the VAZ driver to stop, but he ignored it and continued driving. A pursuit began, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The violator did not respond to repeated demands from police officers and attempted to flee. As a result, service weapons were used.
The driver turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of the Borisov district with multiple convictions. His physical condition aroused suspicion among the inspectors. He refused to undergo a medical examination. He had previously been stripped of his driver's license for driving while intoxicated. His 34-year-old brother was also in the car, in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
The driver will be deprived of his license for five years and will also be fined 200 basic units (9,000 rubles). For disobeying police officers, both men were placed in a temporary detention facility, and the car was moved to a guarded parking lot.
